NEC EVANGELISM AND MISSION ROADSHOW
18th May 2017
Total Member Involvement is a world Church evangelistic thrust led by the General Conference (GC) that involves every Church member and administrative worker. In line with this GC theme, the North England Conference (NEC) team has been running several training programmes across the Conference. The aim of these sessions is to train, equip and nurture members to become actively involved in personal witnessing and Bible studies to win souls for Christ.
The NEC Evangelism and Mission Roadshow is a way to bring information directly to members opposed to travelling long distances to access the training. A contingent of departmental directors have been visiting different areas within the NEC to deliver various workshops to enable the members to use their gifts and talents to extend God's Kingdom.
The first stop of the roadshows was in Leeds with a minimal number of attendees. In all the roadshows there has been a consistent input from Pastor George Kumi, Ministerial Association director and Pastor Michael Simpson, director of Personal Ministries, Church Growth, Church Planting, Adventist Mission and coordinator for ADRA. There have been guest contributions from Beulah Plunkett, Sabbath School and Women's Ministries director, Naison Chitiyo who delivers a fascinating workshop on leading a Bible study as part of Pastor Simpson's team and Dr Gina Miller, who offers an insightful workshop which enhances our Christian experience as part of the Ministerial Association team.
On 6 and 7 May the team visited Coventry within Area 7. The Sabbath service sermon was delivered by the NEC President Pastor Richard Jackson, followed by an afternoon workshop on Evangelism. The Coventry training has been by far the most well attended with about fifty members.
The current calendar still features one more date in Area 4. On 20 May, there will be a Day of Fellowship at Bluecoat Academy, Sutton Passeys Crescent, Wollaton Park, Nottingham. Pastor Richard Jackson will be speaking at this event with Executive Secretary, Pastor Alan Hush contributing to the day. Other personnel will be NEC Treasurer Charles Bramble and Julian Hibbert from the Stanborough Press.
Members are asked to keep this event in prayers and be inspired by the words: "The work of God in this earth can never be finished until the men and women comprising our church membership rally to the work and unite their effort with those of ministers and church officers."
